Apple has release iOS version 8.2 this week. Aside from the Apple Watch integration it also contains a number of Exchange-related bug fixes.

  • Addresses an issue that caused certain events in a custom recurring meeting to drop from an Exchange calendar
  • Fixes a certificate error that prevented configuring an Exchange account behind a third-party gateway
  • Fixes an issue that could cause an organizer’s Exchange meeting notes to be overwritten
  • Fixes a timezone issue where Calendar events appear in GMT

These known issues have previously been published in Microsoft articles KB2563324 and KB3015401.

Thanks to Amir Haque at Microsoft for pointing these out.

Since the iOS 8.2 update (3/14/15), by calendar will not synchronize through the Microsoft Exchange. E-mail and contacts work fine. Any suggestions?

All great news for people using iPhones and the native Mail app, but the new Outlook app is so good I just can’t bring myself to use the native app anymore! Can’t wait to see what they do now that they’ve got the Sunrise team coming in.
