Co-authored by Exchange Server MVPs Tony Redmond, Michael Van Horenbeeck, and myself, Office 365 for Exchange Professionals is packed with 18 chapters, more than 630 pages, and over 240,000 words specially written to provide Exchange professionals with the knowledge and understanding you need to be successful with Office 365.

Here’s what Perry Clark, Corporate Vice President of Exchange Engineering at Microsoft wrote:

You will find this book by Tony, Michael and Paul clear, informative, fun and enjoyable. You will also get a taste of the passion for the subject matter that has enabled the MVPs to make such a difference for Exchange.

This eBook is the most comprehensive independent source of information about Office 365 that combines technical details, business strategy, and real world experience. In Office 365 for Exchange Professionals you’ll learn:

Why Did We Write “Office 365 for Exchange Professionals”?

I think it is fair to say that Office 365 has been both exciting and scary for those of us who are working with Exchange Server today. For all of the great things that Office 365 does for our customers it can also be very disruptive to the careers of Exchange professionals, and not always in a positive way. I’ve personally been caught up in the career turmoil that this creates, so I know first-hand what many of you have been going through.

I strongly believe that we’ve written an eBook that will help Exchange professionals around the world to stay relevant in an industry that is shifting towards cloud-based services like Office 365.

Exchange MVP Steve Goodman says he would “certainly recommend this book to both first timers and experiences consultants alike.”

Why an eBook?

In Office 365 things are moving fast. Microsoft releases new features and changes every week, and a print book would quickly go out of date. We’ve chosen to publish Office 365 for Exchange Professionals as an eBook to allow for updates to be quickly and easily included when necessary. Our goal is to keep the eBook updated and relevant as the Office 365 service changes.

When you buy Office 365 for Exchange Professionals you get access to download the ebook in both PDF and EPUB file formats. PDF offers the best experience for reading on a PC or similar device, whereas EPUB works well for tablet devices such as iPads. Providing a good reading experience in EPUB has been challenging but we think that we’ve successfully achieved it. You can read more about Tony’s adventures in eBook formatting here.

Some people have asked us about a version for Amazon Kindle. Although we do plan to explore this option there is no guarantee at this stage. Formatting a complex, technical book for Kindle is more challenging than other formats, and the Amazon platform itself has some restrictions that will make it difficult to deliver updates. Tony explains more here.

What About a Print Edition?

As I mentioned, maintaining a print book about a service that changes as frequently as Office 365 does would be an impossible task, so we currently have no plans to make a print edition available. However, if you’re at Microsoft Ignite this week you might be lucky to get your hands on one of 200 printed copies of the book courtesy of Microsoft. Tony’s blog post here has more information, as well as details of our other partners at Ignite who are giving away PDF copies of the eBook.

Update: I’m told all the print copies have been given away.

On Amazon Kindle the first edition is drastically lowered in price and there is now second edition available. If I buy from your site, is it first or second edition and do you plan to release new editions every 6 months or would all these updates included as free downloads for existing users?

The latest one is always available here. Amazon’s system requires them to be separate titles, hence why they both appear and hence why the older edition was price dropped to call that out.

We release a number of free updates and corrections to customers of the current edition, and from time to time will release a complete new edition when there is significant new material to cover (for example, the September 2015 edition has 150 pages more than the May 2015 edition). For new editions we offer a heavily discounted upgrade option for existing customers.

      Hope that helps.

I purchased the May 2015 edition through Amazon towards the end of August. How do I go about getting the updated version?

    Hi Paul,

Will I be able to have the ebook printed? I don’t mind paying for it… I look at a screen way too much already.

    Thanks

    Hi There,
Why is it that the only payment option is Paypal? I have purchased several other ebooks form this site without having to create a paypal account! I do have a member account.
