In part four of this Hybrid Agent Preview series, I’ll show you how to verify and test the hybrid functionality after you’ve downloaded the preview. This is essential to ensure the Hybrid Agent works as expected and you can move mailboxes to the cloud as well as see free/busy information of your on-premises mailboxes.

This demo includes the following cmdlets:

  • Connect-EXOPSSession
  • Run Get-MigrationEndpoint |fl Identity, RemoteServer
  • Test-MigrationServerAvailability -ExchangeRemoteMove:$true -RemoteServer <CopyRemoteServerHere> -Credentials (Get-Credential)
  • Get-OrganizationRelationship | Test-OrganizationRelationship -UserIdentity <on-premises mailbox>

Additionally, I’ll discuss some troubleshooting strategies which will allow you to identify issues with the Hybrid Agent Preview. Remember, as we’re working with preview software that the agent, as well as the steps shown in this demo, may change.
