Check out this video blog with Microsoft MVP’s Michael Van Horenbeeck and our Co-Chief Editor Sigi Jagott. Here, they discuss the benefits of going to smaller events like Thrive Conference in Slovenia because of its condensed and personal nature. With plenty of opportunities to speak to fellow IT professionals, they were pleased with the size of the conference and even commented that it was preferable over Ignite. Both MVP’s led some interesting speaker sessions on the latest Microsoft announcements.

Sigi’s speaker sessions included:

  •  “Exchange 2019 – An Introduction”, which discussed implementation and features to consider in the latest Exchange release, if you want more information click here for his blog.
  • His second session was on “Hybrid and Exchange Online” which discusses the latest and greatest in Exchange Hybrid. If you want more information on this topic our writer Dominik Hoefling does a technical deep-dive in this blog.

Mike’s session explored:

  • “How you can extend an on-premises environment with cloud capabilities?”. The session looked at factors such as Azure Capabilities, Azure Traffic Manager in Exchange and Azure Active Directory.

In this video, Sigi and Mike also discussed password-less AD FS and it’s benefits and implications including recent issues with MFA and locking people out of their SharePoint amongst other Office 365 features. If you would like more information on this topic, check out Dominik Hoefling’s blog here.
