High availability for Exchange Server 2013 continues to be a topic that creates a lot of questions and problem scenarios for Exchange admins.

Recently I co-authored the ebook Deploying and Managing Exchange Server 2013 High Availability with my fellow Exchange MVPs Michael Van Horenbeeck and Steve Goodman. The ebook generated a strong response from readers, many of them asking for even more training on the topic.

So I’ve teamed up with the folks at Windows IT Pro to deliver a video training course on Exchange Server 2013 high availability.

This course is designed for both administrators who will be deploying their first Exchange Server 2013 HA solution and administrators who are responsible for managing an existing Exchange Server 2013 HA environment. You’ll learn important concepts, see demonstrations of how to configure and use Exchange Server 2013 HA features, and learn practical skills that you can use in your daily work.

By the end of this course, you will understand:

  • Exchange Server 2013 server roles and architecture
  • How to plan and configure namespaces and load balancing for Client Access servers
  • How to deploy and manage a Database Availability Group
  • How to manage multi-site HA environments
  • Advanced HA features of Exchange Server 2013

The course runs over 6 lessons, with each lesson consisting of a 1 hour video that includes slide presentations and technical demonstrations. The lessons are delivered entirely online so you can watch them from anywhere in the world at a time that suits you.

The full list of sessions are:

  • Session 1 – Exchange Server 2013 Introduction and Overview
  • Session 2 – Client Access Server High Availability
  • Session 3 – Mailbox Server High Availability
  • Session 4 – Transport High Availability
  • Session 5 – Site Resilience
  • Session 6 – Advanced High Availability

I’ve also included a lab guide with session 1 so that you can build your own training lab environment and get hands on with the features that you learn about in the course.

    Hello Paul,

Will the training be available for on-demand viewing? I tried ordering it through the Windows IT Pro site and through my links I got via email, and I even called 1-800 number but they said it is not available.

    Thanks

Exchange Server 2013 Boot Camp – $ 149.00 ( I am assuming this is different from the 6 part series advertised)

The boot camp is a different course. If you compare the course descriptions you’ll see that the boot camp covers more topics but not to the same depth, whereas the High Availability course focuses on HA and goes deeper.

    Hello Paul,

I am an Systems Admin with my organization and we are looking to implement Exchange 2013 sometime this year. Unfortunately at this time i am not able to pay for the course in full, and wanted to see if it is possible to have some type of payment arrange (i.e. pay for each module as I go)
Please advice. I have purchased other exchange products from you before.

    Regards,
    Brian.
